I have been using Samba for years now but one thing I can't ever get to work: When you go to a windows machine and click on network/workgroup one of my samba servers shows up but the other one doesn't. I am only providing workgroup shares, not PDC etc. Both smb.conf files have: [global] workgroup = OTHERWORLD netbios name = hostname* server string = hostname* Samba Server ... [share] writeable = yes guest ok = yes guest only = yes path = /samba strict locking = no *where hostname is actual... On my mint7 box, I can see the samba share when I click on view workgroup computers on Fedora9 box I don't see it. Confused....
