I have fedora core 6, and I'm trying to setup samba (like Active Directory in window 2003) so I can manage users & computers from 1 location, I dont know if this is possible. If some would give me a good guide it would be great.
LDAP comes to mind. Couldn't find a quick complete howto, but maybe this http://www.howtoforge.com/linux_ldap_authentication gives you a head start.
thanks, In fedora it is different, I had to turn couple extra service, according fedora.redhat.com but it is still not clear on how to setup ldap & userid, I'm so confused it is not even funny.
