Hi all, i try the HowTo in subject and i have a question. After the hardening i'm not able to connect via ssh to the server. The server refuse my password with ssh protocol. HoI remember that in a config question it said to use connection in ssh There is maybe a way to connect via ssh that is no "usual"? Thanx. Shella
Do you have access to the Bastille configuration file (shold be in /etc/Bastille)? If so, what's in it?
Damn.. there is the config yes and i can read it but without ssh i can't use a terminal and so i can't make copy/paste! VmWare Tools is not installed because i don't know how to install by shell. I read some howto but all said that there is to mount the cdrom with "mount cdrom"... but when i try to mount i get back this:"Can't find hdc in /etc/fstab or /etc/mtab.... aaaaaaaaa! If you can gentle ask me which question is i can write by hand... uff :-(
Oh man i did it! I'm completely dumb... at the end of the tutorial there is a tip to make impossible connect with root by ssh for security reason... infact with the user "service" it work properly! Thank for help man! However if you can help me with the installation of VmWare Tools i will be very happy!
