Securing the ispconfig control panel with SSL

    If this is a new installation, it is easier to use ISPConfig auto installer, it secures the panel automatically and does other useful things. https://www.howtoforge.com/ispconfig-autoinstall-debian-ubuntu/
    But even the manual installation method of ISPConfig should create the server certificate, unless you choose to not create it. Anyway the "Securing ISPconfig ..." thread you followed is outdated. Try
    Code:
    ispconfig_update.sh --force 
    and when it asks about creating certificate answer yes. Check first the server FQDN is found in name service and really does point to your server.
