I would like to create a noreplay mail address. Therefore, the receiving of mails shall not be possible. If I deactivate receiving in a mail account, no more mails can be sent. The following error occurs when sending: SMTP Fehler (550): (5.1.0 <mail@...>: Sender address rejected: User unknown in virtual mailbox table). Is this a bug or am I misunderstanding something here?
When disabling receiving, the mailbox is disabled for postfix as a whole. There have been several discussions on this confusing name and I believe that a change is on it's way, though I can't find more about it now. You can disable (local) delivering instead.
Thank you for your reply. Okay, this is confusing. Unfortunately, when I select this option, I cannot send any mails either.
After 10 minutes, unfortunately, still identical. SMTP Fehler (550): (5.1.0 <mail@...>: Sender address rejected: User unknown in virtual mailbox table). If I take "Disable (local) delivering" out again, the sending works.
This is correct; @Eichmeyer your second screenshot shows you have both settings checked, you need to uncheck the first one.
If I specify 'Send copy to' (and set the check boxes like this), I can send mails. But I don't want any forwarding, so I don't enter any.
The known issue in 3.2.2 was fixed but doesn't line up to what you say you're seeing. Do you have any conf-custom templates? (ie. files in /usr/local/ispconfig/server/conf-custom/install/)
