First thing, if you are on a dynamic IP, this IP is most likely blacklisted, and you should set up relaying - for Postfix this can be done as follows: http://www.howtoforge.com/postfix_relaying_through_another_mailserver Second thing: do you have valid nameservers in /etc/resolv.conf? Can you try Google's nameservers (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) instead?
