If I have a website hosted with a third party, but want to have the email hosted on my ispconfig server can this be done.

What I am thinking is that I can set up a client and website on my ISPconfig server, so when you goto www.domain.com you will not be on my server. However if you change the DNS entries on the current host to point the MX records to my ISPConfig server the mail would be held on my server.

This has come about because a few of my potential customers are hosting with someone else and are not prepared to move yet and do not have any mailboxes with their host. So I thought I could offer them mailboxes at a cheap rate to get them onboard. If you see what I mean.

    Thanks

This sould work fine. ISPConfig creates the website and vhost, but as long as the A-Records of the domain are not switched to your server, your customer is only able to use Email.
