    Hello.
I have a multiserver setup with ISPConfig running 3.0.5.4p9 version on all servers.
I have setup my own nameservers and serving a dozen websites there.
Is it a good practice to add DNS Zone and manage DNS records of domains that are on a different server/IP.
The new server is not part of the multiserver setup and the IP is not included in Server IP Addresses section of the multiserver "universe".
It is running ISPConfig 3.1.1 though.

    Kind Regards

The dns records should be on the authoritive dns server(s) of that domain only. If this server is in your multiservers etup or on a different external server does not really matter from a technical standpoint.

    Hi.
    Thank you for your answer.
So does it matter from resources or/and stability standpoint?
Should I add the new IPs(from the external) to my multiserver environment? Does it matter?

No. It just matters for you when you manage dns, having all records in one system is more convenient for most people than having to use 2 different systems. But that's just my personal opinion.
