Server Config?

    Hi:

    I am trying to figure out what the server config section of the system configuration menu does - does it affect the machine settings as it does not appear to - it seems to have some default settings, but as I do not yet have access to IPMI, I am a little scared of messing around with my system remotely.

    Please could you explain the function, especially the NIC setup - this is very material because I need to set up my name servers on my machine initially.

    The server config are the settings used by the ispconfig controlpanel to configure your server. the network configuration is disabled by default as it works only on debian linux and may cause problems if you have more then one network card.
