RPI4b/Raspbian Buster/Perfect Tutorial installation/currently 3.2.6 Run faultlessly since 3.2 until 03/09. Then both servers froze - SSH rejected and all websites showing forbidden/403. It would appear the both servers had gone into read only mode - hence the syslog didn't record the actual failure. Physical turn off/turn on restored servers. Looking back in the syslog it would appear Freshclam had got itself banned for hitting their server too often. Hence I followed this tutorial to disable the spamfilter/antivirus: https://www.faqforge.com/linux/cont...ilter-and-antivirus-functions-in-ispconfig-3/ This appeared to work. Except that the server stopped sending its daily Logwatch email. Hence I re-enabled them and Logwatch re-appeared. But today another identical freeze. As I don't use either server for email except its own mail I don't need any spamfilter etc. Hence why would following those instructions disable postfix as well? Re root cause. I've not had any problem with my x64 based servers hence I have a gut feeling it may have been an arm64 specific apt upgrade that's upsetting freshclam or amavis.
I had updated both servers last Friday. But when I just did another after restart: The following packages will be upgraded: clamav clamav-base clamav-daemon clamav-docs clamav-freshclam clamdscan libclamav9 Hmmm - is somebody fixing something?
