Hope someone will be able to assist me on this... I'm new to ISPCong, been using webmin. I have a domain setup on server 1. I would like to setup a second server (for example: server1.domain.com) on another server using IPConfig.... so domain.com goes to one server and server.domain.com goes to another server.... Hope that is easy to understand... Any idea how I would do this? A step by setup guide please, I'm sorry but I'm kind of the FNG.
There is no special config needed. just ensure that the a-record for the one domain points to the first server and the dns a-record of the subdomain to the IP of the other server. One thing you should note is that if you want to use a domain or subdomain for websites and email, then this domain shall not be used as hostname of the server. So if you have e.g. 2 servers, then give them hostnames like server1.domain.com and server2.domain.com so that you can use domain.com for website and email on server1 and server.domain.com as website on server2.
