Hi, I am planning to move to a new server soon and was wondering what's the best way to go... unfortunately, I didn't set up my current server in a virtual machine I am currently running Debian 7.6 with ISPConfig. Is it possible to convert my whole installation into a virtual machine? Or can I just copy everything over to the new server..? Or should I reinstall everything new from start? It's the first time I am doing this, so.. not too sure what's the easiest/safest/best way.. Also, would you recommend to setup everything in a virtual machine the next time? Cheers, Kira
Answer is Yes. Yes you can do it also. Yes, it can be done, but not recommended. The best way is backup/restore whole setup. Check this http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41609
