    Hi

    when he talks about server1.example.com in the The Perfect Server - Ubuntu 9.10 [ISPConfig 3]

    server1.example.com is that a subdomain :confused:

    using a domain would like so example.com for the whole system

    That is a hostname not a subdomain.
