Hello! brand new to ISPConfig, love it so far Have a question, If I wanted to set certain defaults for newly created sites by other users, how do I? For example, I want to default the PHP method, php version (but still allow it to be changed), and enable backups by default for every site that users create. Thanks in advance.
In that case create Templates. ISPConfig Panel, Client tab. More info in ISPConfig Manual. If the settings you want are not possible with templates, and https://www.howtoforge.com/ispconfig-website/ does not help, you may have to create scripts to add website with the defaults you want using ISPConfig API.
the templates only set what options are available, or limits for various options. if you want eg, backups enabled by default, you'd need to set the default value for that field in the table structure in the dbispconfig database.
