I'm trying to figure out how to set programs such as gxine as my default media player, totem keeps popping up, how do I accomplish this? Thanks in advance. I'm running Ubuntu 7.04 btw.
Have you tried to right-click the media file you want to open? Is there something like "Open with..." in the menu? If so, I think you can then specify that you always want to open this file type with the program you choose.
