Hi Guys I am new to suse and embarking on a project to set up a working database server I have recently read the following tutorial at :- http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect-server-opensuse-11.1 - and found it very helpful However i have come across an issues at page 3, at 7 DNS Server, After running chkconfig --add named returns # unknown Any idea what i have done wrong? Can you help please? Server being setup is PIII, 2 Ethernet Cards, Sound Card HDD,40GB sorry cannot find out at present what the system spec says is the full spec of the server. I have Tried /sbin/lspci

Hi Falko I have ran the command but unable to save it, for upload. I have tried the following to save the output to a floppy without any joy Inserted formated Floppy (Msdos) #mdir a: dir for A No files check disk empty #mcopy /etc/init.d a:/etc/init.d no such file or dir I have tried to mount this also was unsuccessfull #mount /dev/fdo/mnt/floppy cant find Help please. OK! got the message. Reinstall. I have started again an lo an behold things have progressed further for me. Yes. 1. It's Code: telnet 127.0.0.1 25 BTW, you can connect to the server with an SSH client such as PuTTY. With PuTTY, you can simply copy&paste all commands from the tutorial.
