    Hello

I need some tips on witch distro to use for my new ISPConfig server.
For the other servers I have been using Fedora.
But Fedora does not maintain their distros for a long time.

I would like to use a distro that is easy to maintain (safe and easy updates) and that is maintained for a long time.

Ubuntu LTS seems like a good choice.

    What would you recommend?

Edit: I`m setting up ISPConfig 3

I think ISPConfig 3 is developed and tested on Debian Lenny, so i would recommend Debian Lenny. But if you found a Perfect install on the dist of your choice than stick with that one.

    Thank you damir.

How long will Debian Lenny be supported/updated?

As long development of ISPConfig is active :)

Debian Lenny is updated regularly with updates and patches.

Seems like Debian maintain their releases about 3years.
I would like 5 years or longer, but it might not be feasible?

Than you should look at Ubuntu LTS :)

Ok, so it`s only Ubuntu that offers this kind of support?

    From https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LTS :
I don't know if other distributions are supported for that long. Still, I'd go with Debian because it feels more stable and doesn't release a new version every six months...

    Thank you for your help.

My choice actually fell on CentOS.
It`s pretty similar to Fedora (witch I have used before) and is maintained for a long time.
