Can someone describe to me the best steps to perform to setup email for a client?

Im am not real clear on this right now with ISPConfig.

What I have done so far is:

    ISP Site >> Co-Domains >> [New]
    >> add hostname of mail
    >> Check the 2 boxes for Create DNS and DNS MX
    >> add blank hostname for domain
    >> Check the 2 boxes for Create DNS and DNS MX

ISP Site >> User & Email >> [New]

Enter the info for the User & Email tab and save.

On the client, setup the POP and SMTP as mail.TLD.COM
    Set login as web(n)_username

This appears to work, but im not too sure this is the correct way..

If someone could let me know for sure, that has extensive experience with ISPConfig, I would really appreciate it.

    Thanks,

    Thst fine so far.

But adding just a email user will be enough to create a email account. There is no co-domain mail.yourdomain.com nescessary as you can use yourdomain.com as smtp and pop3 server setting.

I do prefer to maintain the mail hostname, so ill assume that i have done correctly then.

    Thanks.

If the login works, then yes. :)
