Today in the morning I had an total crash down of the Server by an electric power blow from outsite of the building! The Server as well as 3 other Desktops were totally damaged include a total of 4 HDD's in Server. OK, I got a new Server up and running again with Debian 7.3 and ISPConfig 3.xx! So far so good! But: I could not get the mail working! Started checking the logfiles for Mail Server and found that there mainly totally unknown addresses show up. On my own, I could not send or receive any e-mail now! This is a totally new installation of the Server with ISPC on an new MB, new HDD, even CPU and Memory are New. What would be the best to do? I've off the server at the moment and May do a 2. new installation in the morning tomorrow again! Any Idea what I could/should do? Thanks.
At the moment I'd all my mails forwarded to an different address and will re install the whole server in morning again just for to be sure that all is done correctly. Than I'll see the same is happen again. I also just realized, that by the last installation today, I wasn't need to change the download address for ISPC as I was need to do in all install before. In the new install tomorrow, I'll be be more slow and do that and also will concentrade on that fact too! And before I'll post the logfiles, I have to delete or change my own data in it for to avoid to "publish" them!! Unfortunately the server need to be on line and accessible from the internet while installing. I also need to setup my desktop new because that was burned as well and I'll need them for to do the most of the setup using PuTTY. I had used my Laptop for the today but that were not as comfortable as my Desktop with it's 3 big Monitors. And at this very moment my laptop is being checked for any possible infection which may had triggered that bad outcome on the new server installation! Who knows?? The installation on my desktop will be completely new and should be therefore totally clean as well. I want just to be as sure as possible that there isn't anything bad in again and also want to know at what point that bad outcome is starting, if it does again! And while doing that, there'll be 2 machine only on the Internet connection: Server and Desktop! And for sure Modem and Router!!But that's all. even I'll disable the WiFi in Modem upfront! 3. install again!! I'm on the third install of the Debian 7.3 Wheezy server now. First 2 installs today was getting me problems with the new Mainboard and could not get the LAN ports to work. So I was claim another one from my supplier and the LAN is working now. Also, now the URL an the PS Guide 20 "Install ISPConfig 3" resolves correctly which it didn't in my older installations. You are still in /tmp, you missed the: cd ispconfig3_install/install/ Btw. Thats great, especially the download speed! Seems as if your ISP routes traffic better now as our servers are still in the same location.
Thanks Till. Was outsite for 2 hour for to install an Load Balancer at a customers place for his Game Shop! ISPConfig is now installed as well but configured complete! That I'll leave for tomorrow. Had today also the techy's from the electric authority at my house because the that power blow is their responsibility. They checked everything at my home for more than 3 hour and they're still a few houses away on working. Seem to be that someone has done a totally wrong wire connecting because more than 7 houses were affected with that blow! Have to file a report and complaint with the Police tomorrow. The whole damages are more than Thai Baht 200k only at my place! All together that's much more. Regarding the download speed, I've 20Mbps Cable connection which is served up to 40-50 Mbps! No, it's just the first time that the Domain name of your server is resolved correct to the IP! I hardly believe that were at my ISP's place, maybe somewhere on some of the gateway server's?! Before I had to capture your Server's IP and use that manual to change in the command. Ok, tomorrow, I'll first set 1 or 2 domains, not one of my normal domains, just some .tk domains for to test the mail server. As I had make an sign up at MailJet, I'll also test directly the Relay Server of them and how that work. The incoming Mail for my important accounts are all re-directed via Gmail. It works fine for a few day's and soon the Mail Server at my server is working well that will be changed back to normal. Let see how that will go.
