I've been reading around the forum and i have been trying out how to set up ISPConfig 3 with SFTP for users to be able to log into the server. What i want to do is allow users to back up their files via a secure connection. I've found a couple ftp clients that allow for TLS/SSL security like pureftpd. I've also been reading up on Scponly, which looks like a which looks like an all in one solution for SFTP. But my only concern is will i be able to manage this with a control panel like ISPConfig? Do i need to set up SSH and give users a directory to upload their files to? Thank you Chase
Thanks for your response, might you be able to point me in the direction of a guide on how to set this up, because i know that i have to install SSH, but other than that i'm pretty clueless on what i need to do to get it working.
Did you use one of the "Perfect Server" guides to set up ISPConfig 3? Then you already have all you need.
Yes i actually did, what do i need to do to enable SFTP for ISPConfig? I dont believe that it is built into it.
