Hi, Why is the shell users home directory set to /home/shelluser? Why isn't it just the same as normal FTP users? Can it be automatically set to the same as FTP-users, just in the home directory? If I go to /etc/passwd, I can change the home directory of Shell Users to /web but not to just /. Thanks!
Like on any unix like system, each shell user on Linux has its own home directory which resides under /home. In a chrooted enviroment, /home is relative to the chroot / directory. No.
No. But all your ssh users should be aware that uploads to their home directory (which is normally a private directory) are accessible over web by http.
In that way I can access the /home/$sshuser directory via http? Ta! Have a nice day. Sorry for my bad english.
