Simple Captive Portal?

    I need a very simple captive portal solution. Preferably via DNS. I just need to display a homepage when someone (new mac-addr) joins my wireless network. Also I want to show a custom page when returning a 404, similar to OpenDNS. My router is not a dd-wrt compatible.

    Any help will be appreciated. I've already seen quite a few bloated solutions that are extremely coupled.
