I'm trying to install Kali Linux on a laptop and it keeps failing. Everytime it gets to "Detect and mount installation media" it fails. "Your installation media couldn't be mounted". Any suggestions?
Try searching for that with your specific laptop model, you might find some hits. If you have another cdrom (eg. usb), you might be able to use that for the install.
Kali should almost never be installed on a PC, it's meant to be used as a live distro for penetration testing. You most likely have a bad flash drive, or the image you used was corrupt.
