    Hi there,
so here's my problem .. I currently have 1 machine doing all services, Web-Server, Mail-Server, DB-Server and DNS. Now I decided to rent seperate servers for DNS. How can I turn my single server setup into a multi setup ? Having my current server doing all but dns ? And the other 2 as Dns Servers.

    thanks in advance

Just install the two dns servers as described in the multiserver gudie for splitted services. There are no changes on your master server required except of allowing root login to mysql from the slave servers during setup.

Does this require a previously installed master slave relationship? Or can a slave be created independently with a preexisting master doing all the tasks?

No. You can add slaves to every single server setup.

Have you previously published a how to guide to adding a slave? Does the slave have to be the same operating system as the master? Is Debian your operating system of choice for master-slaves or multi server setups?
