I have test and production environment with multiserver both have multiserver setup. When adding new website on the production environment showing an error "There is already a website or sub / aliasdomain with this domain name." This is because the Domain field in the form is a drop down(see attached screenshot). However in my test environment the domain field is a text field in which I was able to add new website. Please let me know the behavior of this field on when or how it changes its field type. How can I change it to a text field like my test environment ISPConfig multiserver environment Server OS: Ubuntu Server OS version: 18.04.01 ISPConfig version: 3.1.14p1 Apache version: Apache/2.4.29 PHP version: 7.2.19 MySQL version: 5.7.26
Thank you for your quick reply. I was able to change it to text field by going domains tab under System > System > Interface Config and uncheck Use the domain-module to add new domains. But when I create a new website the error still persist. So you're right somehow domain module was enabled. But where exactly can I find it? system > server config shows the list of server.
The description reads There is a difference when logging in as admin or client. Admin can add new domain, client can only choose from the dropdown list.
the system believes the domain is already used somewhere. as it been added as an alias or subdomain on another site?
you've already said you've disabled it in your second post. did you logout and log back in afterwards?
