Is there a way to stop the quota check on system startup its slowing my startup time to 5-10 minutes. I am using VM on a external usb drive which is why it takes so long but is there something I can do...

    Thanks

Which linux distribution do you use and which filsystem type? Are you sure that the quota check takes that long and that it's not a fdisk check?

    Running Debian 4.0 FS-ext3

And while its booting on the screen I see "Quota Check" and it will do that for quite a few minutes, longer than on my existing Suse10.1 system.

Could it be because its a VM session??
