Slackware 12 slow firefox

    Good day.

    I'm new to Slackware and thinks its the best thing since sliced bread. Yes it is a bit hard getting around if you used to XP but I like it.

    I installed Slackware 12 and think SlackBuild is very handy.

    I found that Firefox is slower and doesn't allow you to open a website if you're downloading something. I have tested my connection on my XP laptop and all seems fine. Is there any thing I can do to speed up Firefox or is there some default setting
    that prevent me to have more that one connection at a time.

    Are there any errors in your logs?
