SLES 10 kernel upgrades seem a little goofy...is there a way that the kernel can be upgraded ( ie install a new version in parallel to an old one and have multiple choices at the grub screen.

The method used by the OS seems to upgrade the existing kernel in place without keeping the current version preserved, in case a rollback is needed.

Trying to upgrade only non-kernel packages appears problematic, as some list the kernel upgrades as dependencies..

Has anybody enountered this as a problem?? and does anyone one have plans to post a 'HOWTO' that addresses this problem...

    Help please.

Normally old kernels are kept on the system.
