    hi,

i am currently trying to setup a domain controller based on samba on a centos 5.7 machine .. but i am getting an error that i dont understand, and google doesnt give me an answer either .. i am using this tutorial http://www.howtoforge.com/centos-5.x-samba-domain-controller-with-ldap-backend-p2

    this is what happens
    Code:
    [root@server smbldap-tools]# smbldap-populate
    Can't locate smbldap_tools.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/lib64/perl5/site_perl/5.8.8/x86_64-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.8 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl /usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8/x86_64-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl /usr/lib64/perl5/5.8.8/x86_64-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.8 .) at /usr/sbin/smbldap-populate line 30.
    BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/sbin/smbldap-populate line 30.
    how can i fix this?

    thanks in advance

Ok this works now, i used the wrong version of smbldap-tools.

Now i have another problem which should not be that difficult..

    Code:
    [root@server ~]# net groupmap list
    [2012/03/03 16:38:59, 0] param/loadparm.c:map_parameter(2794)
Unknown parameter encountered: "min passwd length"
    [2012/03/03 16:38:59, 0] param/loadparm.c:lp_do_parameter(3541)
Ignoring unknown parameter "min passwd length"
    [B][2012/03/03 16:38:59, 0] lib/smbldap.c:smbldap_connect_system(982)
failed to bind to server ldap://127.0.0.1/ with dn="cn=Manager,dc=company,dc=com" Error: Invalid credentials[/B]

    [2012/03/03 16:39:29, 0] passdb/pdb_ldap.c:ldapsam_setsamgrent(3107)
ldapsam_setsamgrent: LDAP search failed: Time limit exceeded
    [2012/03/03 16:39:29, 0] passdb/pdb_ldap.c:ldapsam_enum_group_mapping(3179)
      ldapsam_enum_group_mapping: Unable to open passdb
there seems to be an error in the config but i cannot find it.
