I appear to be having a ridiculous number of SMTP connection to my Postfix server. The mail.log is getting so big it can take ages to open it with nano. having grep'ed for one of the conencted addresses i get the following... (please note - server details changed) there are litterally thousands of these entries, i guess for some unknown reason all these mail servers are trying to contact [email protected] It doesn't exist to my knowledge! I certainly haven't set up that email address The problem here is that all the connections appear to be trying to do the same thing, but failing. Why would they be doing that? how can i stop it? I am really confused!!!!!

Please make sure that your server is no open relay ( http://www.mxtoolbox.com/diagnostic.aspx ) and that it isn't blacklisted: http://www.mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx
