Greetings Everyone, I need to know whoever downloaded snort in their Linux machine. I tried to download it, I tried to change permissions and went to root to have snort application downloaded but I was not able to do so. I watched videos and deleted old kali and downloaded new kali but it still didn't workout. Please anyone knows tell me how they did it. Thank you!
It depends on what Linux distribution you are using. On my Debian GNU/Linux 9.12 Stretch, snort is installed with Code: apt install snort Did you download the source or the binary? Was the binary the correct one for your operating system?
