Hi all I am a newbie and i can't find out why my new server install keep getting blacklisted on CBL, Spamhaus ZEN. i might have missed some settings in the setup of the server ? Made a new installation with new wan ip xx.98: Image = The Perfect Server - Debian 10 (Nginx, BIND, Dovecot, ISPConfig 3.1) I have taken over a old ispconfig 3.1 server wan ip xx.99 and imported mail users from it to the new server and have only made a couple active clients at the moment. I dont have problem with blacklist on the old server wan ip (xx.99) ? Thanks in advance
firstly the culprit could be:- blacklisted IP look up you external internet IP and check it via a black list site, like mxtoolbox.com enter you IP and then click blacklist check, if it is then you need to find out ho has black listed you and request a delist or un blacklist. If you have a dynamic IP and you may not be able to achieve this by that method as your ISP may block it and you will have to then contact them (ISP) to get them to clear it.
Thank you for your reply. I have static wan ip, and only my ispconfig is using that ip on a vmware server. i'm using mxtoolbox and my ip is listed on CBL lookup on Spamhaus, and after I have cleared the blacklist on CBL lookup ( abuseat . org ) a couple of times, my ip get blacklisted again after some days.
I hope i finally solved the blacklist problem 1.) As i made the new installation on a new wan ip that was not used before, i had to contact my isp to make reverse dns to the ip/hostname. 2.) I misunderstood in system/server config/server " The network configuration option is only available for Debian and Ubuntu Servers. Do not enable this option if your network interface is not eth0." and did not fill out anyting on the page (my interface is NOT eth0 ), after i filled it in, and got the reverse dns, i have not got blacklistet..
