Check the mail.log file, do you get a lot of mails at that time? Clamd on an ISPConfig server is used for mail scanning, so you probably get a lot of emails when there is a high ClamAV usage.
@till - thanks for your answer. Not many emails coming in. I upgraded my server memory to 4Gb and cpu load is normal now.
Ok. It might be that clamd had not enough ram so the server started to using swap space which is much slower than RAM and this caused the high load then.
