Hi, fresh install to test some things on a esm-apps activated ubuntu 24.04 server. All updates are done but Update Status remains blue with 1 Warning showing missing updates.
    Code:
    Inst isc-dhcp-client [4.4.1-2.1ubuntu5.20.04.4] (4.4.1-2.1ubuntu5.20.04.5 Ubuntu:20.04/focal-updates [amd64])

    Full Text Search... Done
    isc-dhcp-client/focal-updates,now 4.4.1-2.1ubuntu5.20.04.5 amd64 [installed,automatic]
DHCP client for automatically obtaining an IP address
    ...
    root@mail:~# apt search libnss3
    Sorting... Done
    Full Text Search... Done
    libnss3/focal-updates,focal-security,now 2:3.49.1-1ubuntu1.9 amd64 [installed,automatic]
      Network Security Service libraries

    is already up to date.

I am guessing this is annoying and just cosmetic for now?

The package update state is updated once or twice a day.

Updating today using the command line I noticed 2 packages were held back.
One of them was isc-dhcp-client. Not sure what the other was.

So are you sure you're fully up-to-date?
Or did your system hold back some packages too?
If so then ISPConfig is correct to show your server as blue.

The system checks for available updates once or twice a day.
ISPConfig checks the result of that system check regularly.
If you would do a manual update then your server will turn green again in ISPConfig soon after.
(assuming no packages were held back)

i did post stats for that packet from cli, and you can clearly see that it is up to date compared to the Update Status suggestion.

Thanks, thought a reboot would help and it has now been over 12h, i am guessing once per day then, otherwise i'll come back with a report.

Thanks but there are no phased packages, never were.
As i tried to explain earlier the packages shown in Server State were updated and the new versions are installed (s.o. cli copy+pasta) but Server State did not update the fact that this updates have been completed.
Anyways, i believe it is now over 24h when i manually run apt upgrade, is there another way to force Update Status to check again?

I normally simply choose 5 minutes from the menu and wait to see what happen after that if I am that impatient. Most of the time I'd ignore it after I ran apt update && apt -y upgrade.

    Please run the command:

    crontab -l

as root user and post the output.

Back from afk and checking now it is finally green, wonder if this is a patience test of some sorts :)

    Same for me.
And it always turns green well within the hour after the command has run.

Maybe this is something new and happens only on recent installations?

    Not to my knowledge.
I run multiple Ubuntu and CentOS servers, ranging from a few years old to very recent deployments.
    They all act te same.
