    Hi All

    I'm following through Rocky's tutorial for the SpamSnake and have run into a problem with the Bayes db.

    I am getting the following error after running the "spamassassin -x -D -p /opt/MailScanner/etc/spam.assassin.prefs.conf --lint" command :

    Dec 17 23:20:03.383 [26728] dbg: plugin: Mail::SpamAssassin::plugin::DNSEval=HASH(0x4e5ce00) implements 'check_start', priority 0
    Dec 17 23:20:03.384 [26728] dbg: bayes: database connection established
    Dec 17 23:20:03.384 [26728] dbg: bayes: found bayes db version 3
    Dec 17 23:20:03.384 [26728] dbg: bayes: unable to initialize database for root user, aborting!

    I've checked my spam.assassin.prefs.conf file and the username and password match what I set them to when I created the database.

    I don't want to carry on further with this until the problem is resolved..

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance!

    Thanks topdog, that seemed to work.

    I now have another problem fetching the nginx files but will start a new thread about that.
