I want to have 2 or 3 webservers with Ispconfig and one separate mailserver. The 3 webservers should be managed individually but all 3 should use the same external mailserver. Is this a possible Setup? The problem is that I have to tell the mailserver who is the master, but in this setup I have more than one master! TIA Jürgen
A multiserver setup can only have one master. You can have 3 wenb server and one mail server, but only if the are all slaves of the same master node.

Yes, you can set the default server in the reseller and client settings. The reseller can add only items to that server. A default servr setting exists for web, dns and email, so these services do not have to be on the same server.
