I did a fresh install of the software The Perfect Server - CentOS 6.4 x86_64 (Apache2, Dovecot, ISPConfig 3). Following the instructions. I discovered using webmail trying to use the root or local user email would fail with errors and found two lines from another source missing in the howto, ln -s /etc/dovecot/dovecot-sql.conf /etc/dovecot-sql.conf ln -s /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf /etc/dovecot.conf This was seen in the mail log file as not being able to read the dovecot-sql.conf Now I get the following errors and could use some help. Nov 3 07:52:30 hosting dovecot: auth: mysql: Connected to localhost (dbispconfig) Nov 3 07:52:32 hosting dovecot: imap-login: Aborted login (auth failed, 1 attempts): user=<root>, method=PLAIN, rip=::1, lip=::1, secured Is it that a real local user can not be done because of not being in the dbispconf database?
