Hi, I'm new 2 linux and was using your UBUNTU6.06 guide
    (http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect_setup_ubuntu_6.06)

And I have a little problem (suprise!) :)

How do i configure squirrelmail/courier to use the email address to login
insted of username?? I know it's possible... but I don't know how!

    Thnx.

It only works if you have ISPConfig installed because ISPConfig stores the email addresses and the respective user names in a database table which makes it possible to map the email address to the user name.

Another solution would be to use virtual email users, but then you have to change the Postfix setup. Have a look here: http://www.howtoforge.com/virtual_postfix_mysql_quota_courier (but note that this setup is not compatible with ISPConfig, just in case you plan to install it).

Have a look at the PHP code in the thread I posted above. It should give you the idea.
