    Hello all

Installed ISPconfig2 several days ago and am testing it.
I installed the squirrelmail plugin as well.

When I send emails from within squirrelmail the domain is example.com and not the domain the user belongs to. How can I resolve that?

    Installed as per
    http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect-server-debian-lenny-ispconfig2

As a side question, I attempted to find out the difference between ISPconfig2 and ISPconfig3. Where can I find this information?

    Many thanks in advance

    Regards

    Fred

You can set the sender email address under options in squirrelmail.

ISPConfig 2: Single server controlpanel with Linux system users.
ISPConfig 3: Multiserver controlpanel with virtual users.

    Hi Till

Thanks for that, I was aware that could set the return email address within squirrelmail. I was really hoping there was a proper resolution to this instead of just a work around. It is going to make it a real hastle migrating all my 1000+ users across to this new system and having to send all of them an email stating they must setup there return email address. And we all know what end users are like.

I am also naturally assuming this same issue applies to all other web based mail clients.

Where can I find an answer to my question on the difference/s between ISPconfig V2 and V3,

    Regards

    Fred

This applies to all email clients - you have to set the correct sender address everywhere.
