I have functional email boxes created in ISPC3

I am using SquirrelMail and all works.

Can I send email via my email box?

What is SMTP and port address?

    Of course.

SMTP port is 25; POP3 uses port 110, IMAP port 143.
The address is any IP address or hostname/domain that points to your server.

So if I have mailbox [email protected]

    SMTP server: smtp.ispc.com:25
SMTP log in: test or [email protected]
SMTP password: same as is the mailbox.

    POP3.ispc.com:110
    IMAP.ispc.com:143

    correct?

OK I have tried the SMTP above and it does not work
is there something to set via the panel?
    Or the mailbox is enough.

If you are using the default ports you only need be sure how the hell is the name of your server (you can check your dns configuration), but as falko said you can use the ip address too. You must use the full email address in the username

It appears that the problem is in DNS

This is my actual domain merlin4x.com
It works for everything ftp, mail, and subdmains but not for smtp.merlin4x.com.

I get an error that the server is not existent

So I have add smtp to may DNS list at my server under "Cname"
I do not know if it is correct place but it is where I list ftp, mail, www and subdmains

I understand that it will take some time to propagate.
it has been more than 8 hours and no recognition.

    smtp.merlin4x.com does not exist at

    http://network-tools.com/default.asp?prog=express&host=smtp.merlin4x.com

my email client is telling me:

    Sending of message failed.
An error occurred sending mail: SMTP server smtp.merlin4x.com is unknown. The server may be incorrectly configured. Please verify that your SMTP server settings are correct and try again.

so obviously I do not have somehow properly configured DNS or something else

You need an A record for your mail server (not CNAME). After that you can define CNAME records for smtp, pop, imap pointing to mail.merlin4x.com

    Cheers

I'd just keep things simple to start with, just use your ip address and then when you understand dns better I'd create the records.

If your using ispconfig for your dns, and you've used the wizard for your domain it will already have made mail.yourdomain.com Then just add a cname. Or an A record to the ip. Both will do the same job.

    Thanks!
When things do not work, nothing is simple.
What to put into the Cname or A record?........ smtp?
Must smtp be a part of the record?

I suggest that you create an A record for smtp that points to your server's IP.
