ssh/bash/log question

    where are the logs with this information of old logins? i know they should be kept in the /var/log part of the system but these got deleted, is there anywhere else they would be kept?

    debian system using 3.1r2

    I guess it might be stored in the bash history in the home directory of the user. The files are hidden, you will have to use "ls -la" to see them.
