I was trying getting an official ssl certificate fr my mail server at cacert.org.I know how to issue self certificates and I registred with my email address alias [email protected] but something went wrong: That's after i have pasted in my newreq.pem certificate comprensive of private key and certificate request.The common name in the request is the mailserver fqdn mail.gabrix.ath.cx ... what did i make of wrong ???
I think the problem is that cacert.org doesn't know that mail.gabrix.ath.cx is owned by you. I guess you have to add mail.gabrix.ath.cx somewhere in your cacert.org account settings.
The fqdn name i used when i made the cacert.req is mail.gabrix.ath.cx . do you mean in the form when i registred to cacert.org ???? i don't actually remember that !
Yes, but cacert.org seems to know only gabrix.ath.cx. I don't know the cacert.org web interface. Maybe you have to ask the cacert.org guys (maybe it's also in their FAQ).
You need to add a domain (in right panel) And go through the song-and-dance email verification. Wizzy
