    Hi All,
I have an issue that didn't happen in previous ISPconfig installations.

When I restore a site onto the new ISPConfig server, I cannot activatel the openssl cert until the site is delegated.
However the site won't work with a hosts file if it hasn't had it's certifiicate turned on, when i use the hosts file editor, I get redirected to the first site that I added on ispconfig.
    Can you anybody help please?
    Thanks,
    Richard

I wonder if this is explained very well, I will try again.
I can't see if the site is all happy after it has migrated, since the system reverts to the first openssl certificate that was setup on this server, so even with a hosts file editor, it hangs for a second than switches to that site.

So I can't make sure the site is fine before I redelegate.

Create a self-signed ssl cert or copy over the SSL cert and key from old system to the new one, put them into the SSL cert and SSL key fields on SSL tab and choose 'save certificate' as action.

    Thanks Till,
So I should do this for every new site that is added before it is delegated?

That's up to you. You asked how to access an SSL site before you are able to obtain a LE cert.
