hi I just wondering if we have tutorial on how to setup SSL in ispconfig with cloudflare.? I got error after full strict setup in cloudlfare. First I setup ssl in ispconfig>website>ssl> ssl action?create certifcation. Then I registered to startssl.com to generate ca. and paste to ssl bundle under SSL of ispconfig Then save. Correct me If I'm wrong thanks
Startssl is not trusted by web browsers anymore. Remove the startssl ssl cert from that sitecompletely and then enable letsencrypt instead.
remove the wrong cert with the ssl cert delete action on the ssl tab and empty all ssl fields and press save. Then go to the first tab of the website and enable the letsencrypt checkbox and press save.
Ah ok so the ispconfig have bulit-in installed letsencypt. Sorry for stupid question. thanks again. How about in cloudflare setup? what to choose
Sir till help me to setup in cloudflare. when I chosen full (strict) this error shows when chosen full it works but not secured shows in the browser. when I chosen flexible website not browsing.
The first step is always to test ssl without using cloudflare. setup ssl with letsencrypt for this website and then test it with your browser f the ssl is shown as secure.
I test now sir but still not secure. Letsencrpyt works without cf but it says not fully secure same with cf How to make it fully secure and green shows like this Any ideas?
The ssl cert is fine. My guess is that you load images in the site by http and not https. Check the html sourcecode.
Sir till last question but when I used cloudflare instead of letsencrypt the cloudflare certificate shows instead of letscrypt certificate. How to enable letsencrypt even on cloudflare. thanks
You need a higher priced plan like business plan on cloudflare to do that as far as I know. the free plan and the smallest plan do not support to use your own ssl cert.
