I have added a new website.

I turned on SSL and LE.

    I force HTTP to HTTPS.

I also added a dummy web page for which I created a self signed SSL certificate to be used if the SSL is nto working, as suggested by Til in a recent discussion. The name of the dummy web page is: 000default.tld
I created the self signed certificate on the SSL page in the website in question.

Up until now, the SSL dumped me to the first web domain on the list(not using the 000default.tld) and does not display my web page.

I looked back and th eLE and SSL was unchecked for some reason, so I checked them again.

I still get the wrong web page.

I checked the error logs, and nothing indicates any errors.

What might I be doing wrong?

    Thanks

    Joseph

I did go through this list before writing my message.

    That is why I wrote.

LE is not failing, as other sites on the server are working just fine and there are no errors in the log. The FAQ says that "When the creation of the SSL certificate trough Let’s Encrypt fails, then the Let’s Encrypt gets disabled in ISPConfig."
Or, does it just get disabled for that one site? Would thi sbe why the LE and SSL get unchecked?

I just retried the site, and it is secure. It must have needed some extra time to certify things.

1 question: when LE gets a SSL certificate, we should see the certificate info on the SSL tab of th e website page?

    Thanks

I forgot. There are two sites that were not working. 1 is resolved, the second is still not working.
The one that works is the one that I registered with my domain register last night.
The non working one had the domain set up 3- 4 weeks back.

AFter looking at the list again, the only thing of whcih I am not sure is this questyions: "- When your server is behind a NAT router so that the server itself can not reach the hosted domains, then enable the option "Skip Letsencrypt check" under System > Server config > web.>"
    Our local set up is
Modem - PFSense - our network
I did not enable th eskip lets encrypt check for our other working sites, so I am not sure this should affect me.

    Thanks

Correct, it will get unchecked for that site when it fails. So LE must have failed for the site if you noticed that the checkbox was unchecked. Go back to the FAQ and check each step.

No, the ssl tab is not related to letsencrypt.

You noted: "Correct, it will get unchecked for that site when it fails. So LE must have failed for the site if you noticed that the checkbox was unchecked. Go back to the FAQ and check each step."

Great, I am slowly getting the understanding of the ISPConfig controls:)

The second site that is not yet connecting as secure does not fail with LE. The boxes remain checked. Yet, the site remains non-SSL. So, it is not failing.

    Here is the site:
    https://distingohomestaging.ca/

    I force https connections.

    Thanks

The site is SSL secured and the SSL cert in that site is fine, read carefully what the browser tells you when it is shown as insecure. The reason that it shows as insecure in the browser is that you are loading an image with HTTP inside the HTML instead of https.
