I got carried away with the installation and the default settings. I missed this part of the directions: I encrypted the keys and I'm wondering if it's possible to revert to the recommended directions above.
Either you create the SSL certificates for the ISPConfig hattpd under /root/ispconfig/httpd/ manually again or you run the ISPConfig setup again, the installer detects your currently installed version and you will be able to create the SSL certificates again.
