I used the "Simple Home File Server (Based On Ubuntu)" How To -`to get a box running that is now accessible from the two Windows machines in my house. Awesome tutorial! It has been working just as I had hoped. I'm totally new to linux and this is not my primary file storage / backup solution yet as I'm still learning, but I'd like to expand to... Sharing with my Mac OS 10.5 as well (it can't see my ubuntu box right now ) Possibly connecting our printer Remotely access media Doing workstation backups Is there another guide available that would walk me down these steps with Ubuntu? Is Ubuntu the right choice for that? I'd like to stick with it as I have a forum with Ubuntu underneath it too and I need to learn someday. Thanks for any advice!
