    Hi there,

Was wondering if anyone else has experience this problem or if someone could point me in the right place.

I am not able to restart any of the services in Management/Server/Services.
If i attempt to start, stop or restart the services and press save the panel accepts my choices but on the server side nothing happens.

The status table at the top of the page also shows the choice i have made (stop, restart or start)..

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards

    Phil

Please try to restart ispconfig on the shell:

    /etc/init.d/ispconfig_server restart

    and try again.

    Hello Till,

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately that did not help, still the same problem. If i try to stop a service the status doesnt change and more importantly the service doesnt stop.

Are there any warnings in /home/admispconfig/ispconfig/ispconfig.log? Which distribution are you using?

    Hello Falko,

    I am running 2.2.29

In the log file (after attempting to stop, restart..etc) i see.

=> INFO - Signalfile Set: update

    Thats it.. nothing else :(

Problem solved Falco and Till ! :)

Whilst trying to restart Bind i discovered an error in the log file -

/etc/named.conf:3: change directory to '/home/admispconfig/ispconfig/web/multidoc/edit' failed: file not found

Amending the zonefile directory to the correct one (/var/named/chroot/var/named) allowed me to then start and stop named via the command prompt.

Once this worked all of the services began to respond to start, stop and restart from the panel!..

    Thanks again for your help.

    Regards

    Phil
