I have a set of 8 ip addresses with my dsl provider. For example, I've set up ispconfig to use 12.13.14.15. when you type 12.13.14.15:81, you go right to my web server. Now that I have 7 IP's left, how do I tell ispconfig that anything comming in on ip 12.13.14.17 is for www.example.com and anything comming in on ip 12.13.14.18 if for www.example2.com? Thank you!
ISPConfig writes name-based vhosts, i.e. you type in www.example.com in your browser, and Apache delivers the right web site (as long as www.example.com's DNS record is pointing to the correct IP address). Take a look at the difference between name-based vhosts ( http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/vhosts/name-based.html ) and IP-based vhosts ( http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/vhosts/ip-based.html ).
