    Hi ;) ,

    I have been using ISPconfig now for over a year and think it is fantastic. I have decided to try something differnet but am having problems with the DNS.

    Set up:
    ISPConfig with SUSe 10.3 for the OS, running a on Dell Poweredge 2900.

    Goal:
    Create subdomais (sub.domain.tld NOT domain.tld/sub) with the primary domain (domain.tld) hosted by the service provider.

    Problem:
    my log shows that the dns is being denied. {message xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx#xxxxx: querry (cache) 'domain.tld/MX/IN' denied}

    Note:
    The DNS records look good but I think my ISP has the domain locked and this should be okay as they are hosting the domain.tld, I just want to host the sub.domain.tld, I have set up my hosts on their name servers (sub + ns).

    Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Well by the sounds of it, your ISP seems to be hosting the domain meaning it holds the DNS records.. so you'll have to contact them to add a record to links to sub.domain.tld.

    good luck.

    You can find out who's running the DNS servers for your domain by running
    Code:
    dig ns yourdomain.com
